Seeking information on Major Joseph J. Anthony, rep. from Randolph Co. who was killed in state legislature in 1837. He was landowner in said county. Where was he from ? Who was his family ? I am searching for the parents of MORGAN, thomas and elizabeth. Thomas was born in Bald Knob, AR 1891. thomas was listed on the 1900 Lawrence Co Census with the Arch Weatherford family as neph. did not find Elizabeth. on the 1910 Independence Co. Census he was listed with the Anderson Wilson family as a boarder. Lizzie was listed with the Mike Schultz family as niece. No clue of th parents. Harvey D. MORGAN and Sarah Wilson were married in Wiley Twp. Randolph Co. 17 Jan. 1889 may be the Grandfather and Grandmother I'm looking for. Lizzie married a Schultz and was in Newport, AR. Searching for descendants of THOMAS AND MARY NEWELL. THOMAS died in Randolph Co. in 1838. MARY and children NATHAN,ELIZABETH.POLLY, PERNECIA,URIAH JAMES (U.J.) and THOMAS M moved to Caroline township, which was in Prairie Co. before 1850. Can't find marriages for any of them. NATHAN was in Jefferson Co. in 1860 census. His wife NANCY and children were back in Caroline Twp. by 1870 without NATHAN. U.J. NEWELL became a pioneer Baptist preacher. His wife was LAURA. Need her maiden name. They lived in Grant Co, then moved to Howard Co. where he died in 1905. Caroline Twp, I believe has been part of Prairie, Lonoke, and Pulaski counties. My grandfather, James Mirabeau JONES, was born in Maynard, Arkansas in 1889. His father was Mirabeau Bela Lamar JONES, born Dec 10, 1841, but I don't know where he was born. I am searching for information regarding my great grandfather, Mirabeau Bela Lamar Jones,(born 1841) known to have lived in Maynard, Arkansas around 1889. He was married to Phoebe Caroline Legate and had at least 4 children by her. Their son, (my grandfather)was James Mirabeau Jones, born in Maynard, Arkansas in 1889. George F. RING, and wife Amanda MULLENAX RING died about 1910. I have been told that they are buried in Clay Co. Arkansas. I have verified that they lived in Johnson Co. Illinois in 1883. William J. DAVIS is listed twice in the 1870 Randolph Co. federal census. Lot DAVIS and his son Solomon were neighbors. Is there a relationship between these two families? William, b. 1828 in weakley Co., TN, was the son of Uriah. William moved on to Texas County, MO, and by 1877 he was in Wright Co., MO.
