Formed before 1876, this school was located about 1 mile north of Mansfield. According to Robert Joyce, families such as the Yanceys, Joyces, Blacks, Coleys, and Brashers, attended this school. In 1930 Black Ridge School consolidated with the Mansfield School District.

Photo about 1920. "My Grandmother is the second girl in from the left in the very back row named LaVerne Bonner,
she lived in Mansfield until she left for college and she had a lot of family with the last name Brasher".
