Forrest City Public Library

The Forrest City Public Library has issues of the local newspaper on microfiche, dating back a number of years to 1894.  The lovely ladies working there said they would be willing to look up items in the old issues, but things can change, always ask if they have the time.  However, please understand the following:  THEY NEED AN EXACT DATE SUCH AS A DEATH DATE TO DO A LOOKUP.  There are also many gaps where whole weeks and months are missing.  To go to their website, with email and other information, click on the name above. They have extensive genealogy information not found anywhere else, Including Family Histories by Loyd N.Sybert  The phone number is (870) 633-5646.  The address is Forrest City Public Library, 421 South Washington, Forrest City AR 72335.  If you write, please include a self addressed stamped envelope and if you call long distance, please offer to call back for the information.  Their budget is slim, just like other libraries throughout the country!
