From Gregory, north on AR 33 about .9 mile and then left (west) onto a dirt track just before CR 866. Go a short distance and cemetery is on the left in a grove of trees.
Rolfe Eldridge bought the land on which the Eldridge Family Cemetery is located in the year 1852 from Robert H. Adams who had acquired it by Government Patent (deed) in 1849.
The Eldridge Cemetery was cleaned up and put back into use under John Rolfe Eldridge, Jr's direction when his uncle George Paul Eldridge wanted to be buried there.
The old trees have been trimmed to preserve them and members of the family have planted pines and shrubs. The cemetery is now enclosed by a single chain fence.
One-fourth mile north of this cemetery, is what was once the burial grounds of slaves of the Eldridge family, Eldridge Cemetery, AA.
There is a memorial plaque for Levin and Elizabeth Watson and Abram and Margaret Land and another one that lists family members buried here and in Augusta Memorial Park.
