Eliza Eades

 Mrs. Eliza Eades, 78, died at 9:30 o'clock Friday morning at the home of her son-in-law, and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Glendenning, four miles northeast of Cassville.
 She was born March 27, 1873, in Tennessee.
 The body was removed from the Long funeral home to the residence, where friends were invited to call Friday night. The body will be sent Saturday morning to the Searcy burial Association at Marshall, Ark., where burial will take place Monday morning.

Miles Suggs

Miles Suggs Dies Following Stroke and Short Illness
 Funeral services for Miles Suggs, 79, were held at 10 A.M. Wednesday at Huie Cemetery by Bro. O.R. Perkins of Searcy. Mr. Suggs died December 31, 1951 at his home in Clinton following a stroke and four days of illness.
 He was born November 24, 1872 and had been a resident of Van Buren County all his life. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Suggs. December 24, 1888, he was married to the former Ida Belle Jennings and to this union six children were born, all of whom survive.
 He was a member of the Church of Christ and was a charter member of the Choctaw Masonic Lodge.
 In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Charles Suggs of San Jose, Calif., Sam Suggs of Hobbs, New Mexico and Owen Suggs of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Verlena O'Dell of Van Buren, Mo., Mrs. Mae Ramsey of San Pablo, Calif., and Mrs. Mary Harris of Clinton; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Kidd of Choctaw and Mrs. Dovie Fisher of Los Angeles, Calif., 19 Grandchildren, and 15 Great-grandchildren.
 Burial was in Huie Cemetery with members of the Choctaw Masonic Lodge as pallbearers. Coffman Funeral Home of Clinton was in charge.

1957

Mrs. Melvina Parks

Mrs. Melvina Parks Dies, Funeral At Dennard
 Melvina Parks, 65, widow of Nealy Parks and native of Dennard, died at her home in Los Angeles at 4:30 a.m. Thursday, October 31. Funeral services were conducted at Dennard cemetery at 2 p.m. Monday, November 4, by Henry Pipkin, Church of Christ of Clinton.
 She was born December 24, 1891, and had lived at Dennard all her life until six years ago when she went to California to make her home with a son Leon Parks. She was married to Mr. Parks in 1909 and he died ten years ago. She was a Methodist.
 In addition to Leon Parks, survivors are two brothers, Joe and Dave Hancock, of Detroit.
 Pallbearers were Lonzo and Monroe Nunley, John Jolly, Harp Middleton, Johnny Scott and Adam Scott. North Arkansas Funeral Home was in charge.

Ida Belle (Jennings) Suggs

Mrs. Ida Belle Suggs Dies at Her Home Here
 Mrs. Ida Belle Suggs, 78, lifelong resident of Choctaw and Clinton, died at her home here Friday, December 27. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p. m. Sunday at Huie Cemetery by Henry E. Pipken, minister to the Clinton Church of Christ.
 She was born February 12, 1878, at Choctaw, the daughter of the late S.R. and Mollie Jennings. At the age of 18 was married to Miles Suggs of Barrens Community. To this union eight children were born, two of whom died at an early age. She had been a member of the Church of Christ about 50 years.
 Survivors are three sons, Owen Suggs of the home, Charlie Suggs of San Jose, Calif., and Sam Suggs of Hobbs, N. M.; three daughters, Mrs. Verlena O'Dell of Roseville, Calif., Mrs. W. H. Harris and Mrs. Ray Ramsey of Clinton; 19 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
 Pallbearers were D. Z. Jennings, Sam Jennings, Derwin Jennings, Herb Eubanks, Charlie Bradley and Leon Evans. Burial was in Huie Cemetery by Coffman Funeral Home of Clinton.

Ben H. Holley

Funeral Services for Ben Holley Held Yesterday
 Funeral services were held at the Hadley chapel yesterday afternoon for Ben H. Holley, 75, who died Monday in the Exeter Memorial hospital. [California]
 He was a native of Van Buren County, Arkansas, and attended Dodd School, a log cabin school in that county. He farmed there until moving to Shirley, Ark., in 1924.
 On February 24, 1907, he married the former Mattie Robertson in Shirley and upon moving there in 1924 became a grocery wholesaler. In 1927 be bought a blacksmith shop which he operated until 1952 when they moved to San Jose.
 Moving to Exeter in 1953, he became an employee at the Roper packing house. He was a member of the Exeter Freewill Baptist Church and of the Woodmen of the World.
 Survivors, besides his wife, include a daughter, Mrs. Eula Suggs of Exeter; a brother, Leroy Holley of Exeter; five grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
 Rev. Bob Cantrell officiated at the service. Music was furnished by Lydia Long and the casket bearers were Sterling King. Ernest Kelms, Gene Pettyjohn, Floyd Bolin, Charlie Jones and Alvin Long.

Thomas Bowden Morrow

 Thomas Bowden Morrow, aged 82, of 2302 South Valentine at Little Rock, formerly of England, Arkansas, died Saturday at Little Rock. He was a native of Springfield, Conway Co., Arkansas, a retired farmer and merchant and a member of the Landmark Baptist Church of England, Arkansas.
 Survivors include four sons, Ira Morrow of England, Arkansas, Floyd, Jim, and John Dale Morrow of Little Rock Arkansas; five daughters, Mrs. Bryce Perry of Oklahoma, Mrs. Scott Nelon Jr., Mrs. Herbert Hughes, Mrs. Jess Reiter and Mrs. E.P. Scruggs Jr. of Little Rock, 20 grandchildren and 21 greatgrandchildren.
 Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Pleasant Springs Baptist Church at Birdtown in Conway County, Arkansas. Burial will be at the Kilgore Cemetery near Morrilton, Arkansas by Wilson Funeral Service of England.

 "Collinsville--Services will be at 2:30 Sunday at the Baptist church for Mrs. Rosie Jane Brock, 87, who died Friday enroute to a hospital. Burial will be in Collinsville cemetery, with grandsons as pallbearers and Richard Funeral Home in charge.
 She was a member of the Baptist church.
 Surviving are a son, Floyd Brock of Whitesboro; four daughters, Mrs. Pauline Armstrong and Mrs. J. Z. Ramsey, both of Collinsville, Mrs. Artha Williams of Marlow, Okla., and Mrs. Eura Cook of Amarillo; three brothers, Ed Steward of Sadler, A. J. Steward of Texarkana and Bryce Steward of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs, Frances Stanford of Waxahachie and Mrs. Earlene Butler of Dallas; 15 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren."

Scott T. Berry

 Scott T. Berry, 90, of Clinton died October 8. Funeral was at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 11, at the Four Square Gospel Church by Rev. Virgil Lemings.
 He was born June 7, 1879 at Scotland. He was a farmer and a Mason.
 Survivors include five sons, James U. Berry of Orvil, Cal., Garner V. Berry of Baltimore, MD., Eath Elvis Berry of Norwalk, Calif., Alpha T. Berry of Cresent City, Calif., and Warren O. Berry of Oildale, Calif., four daughters, Mrs. Hattie Martin of Clinton, Mrs. Virgie Bryant of Eugene, Ore., Mrs. Lillian Wilcox of Oberlin, Kan., and Mrs. Lois Starrit of Dayton, Ohio; a brother, Richard Berry of Mapleton, Ore., 34 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
 Pallbearers were: Roy Murray, Gary Don Wells, Larry Woods, Ronnie Simmons, Larry Gene Cravens and Tommy Cravens.
 Burial was at Crabtree Cemetery by Coffman's Funeral Service.

Owen Suggs

 Owen Suggs, 62, of Clinton died Thursday, June 8, 1970. Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday at Huie Cemetery chapel by Henry E. Pipkins.
 He was a native of Van Buren County.
 Survivors include a brother, Sam Suggs of New Mexico, and three sisters, Mrs. Verlena Cope of California, Mrs. May Ramsey of Judsonia and Mrs. Mary Harris of Clinton.
 Pallbearers were Bill Jennings, Layne Huie, Dick Stephens, Clarence Ruble, Jay Jackson, and Paige Bouyear.
 Burial was at Huie Cemetery by McNutt Funeral Service.
