Aaron J. Posey
Aaron J. Posey, age 86, of Sparkman, died Friday, January 30, 1998, in the National Park Medical Center at Hot Springs.
Born November 1, 1911 at Sparkman, he was a son of the late Arton Preston Posey and Louvenia Bryant Posey.
He was a retired Baptist minister and a member of the First Baptist Church of Sparkman.
Survivors include his wife, Florine Reddin Posey of Sparkman; two sons, Danny Posey, and wife, Ann, of Bismarck and Rickey Posey and wife, Tina, of Sparkman; three daughters, Sonjia Mitchell and husband, Billy, of Monticello, Beverly Finley and husband, Lloyd, of Malvern and Kathy King and husband, Billy, of Rison; one brother, Ben Posey of Sparkman; one sister, Wilma Roberts of Benton; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 1, in the First Baptist Church of Sparkman with Rev. Roscoe Meyers, Dr. Jimmy Burks, Rev. Gary Turner and Rev. Paul Grigsby officiating. Burial was in Sparkman Cemetery by Benton Funeral Home, Inc.
