Jessie James Caldwell, 53, Fordyce, died September 6, 2000, at Fordyce Health Care.
He was born September 9, 1946, at Fordyce, a son of the late Harvey Caldwell and Inez Reynolds Caldwell.
He was a member of Greenville First Baptist Church, where he served as a member of the Male Chorus, Usher Board and Mass Choir.
Survivors include six daughters, Bessie Lee Mason, Maerean Darrough and Beverly Caldwell, all of Fordyce, Rosanner Gresham of Little Rock, Lestene Amberson of Oceanside, California, and Harriet James Anderson of St. Paul, Minnesota; three sons, Floyd Miller of Fordyce, James Kenneth Caldwell of Little Rock and Jessie Edward Caldwell of Topeka, Kansas; four sisters, Betty R. Smith and Catherine Thrower, both of Fordyce, Ida J. Preston of Harrell (Calhoun) and Ceda Sherman of Little Rock; four brothers, Robert Caldwell, Odell Caldwell, Larry Caldwell and Morris Caldwell, all of Fordyce; 22 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Greenville First Baptist Church with the Rev. I.L. McDaniel County) officiating. Burial will be at Greenville Cemetery by Brown-Williams Funeral Home of Fordyce.
The family will be at 624 East 11th Street, Fordyce.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
