Coy J. Kingrey


Coy Jean "Kate" Kingrey, 85, of Sparkman died Friday, Nov. 9, 2001 in Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia. She was born Jan. 13, 1916 in Malvern, daughter of the late W.A. and Linnie Fitchugh Fleming. She was a licensed practical nurse for 35 years, a homemaker and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church where she taught the adult Sunday School class for over 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Guy Kingrey, two brothers and five sisters.


Survivors include: Two sons, Jimmy Kingrey of Sparkman and Gene Kingrey and wife, Barbara, of Mesquite, Texas; one daughter, Carolyn Deaton and husband, James of Sparkman; one brother, Richard Fleming of Sparkman; two sisters, Lois White Davis of Arkadelphia and Frankie Wilkins of Sparkman; and eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.


Funeral was today in Shady Grove Baptist Church at Sparkman with Rev. Doug White and Rev. Jeremy Horton officiating. Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery at Dalark by Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.
