Eddie Mae Hearne Benton Lowe, age 72, of Fordyce, died Monday, May 26, 2003, a t her home at Fordyce. "Born November 20, 1930 in the Hollywood Community, she was a daughter of the late Judson Edward Hearne and Bertha Mae Gill Hearne. She was a retired Dallas County Tax Assessor and a member of the Mt. Paron Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Lowe. Survivors include two sons, Craig Benton of Little Rock and Jim Benton of Forest City, North Carolina; one daughter, Judy Benton Lamb of Bossier City, Louisiana; two brothers, Marlin Hearne of Fordyce and Judd Hearne of North Little Rock; three sisters, Jean Hardman of Fordyce, Evelyn Doyle of Ramsey and Allamerle Raney of Ivan; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 28, in the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Charles Sandage and Elder Don Faris officiating.
