FORDYCE -- Jessie Mae Henderson, 80, of Fordyce, died Saturday at Dallas County Hospital.
She was born Dec. 16, 1923, at Thornton (Calhoun County), a daughter of the late James Fisher and Elnora Royston Fisher.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. John AME Church at Fordyce, where she was an usher, steward and trustee. She also served as a member of the gospel choir, Sunday school and as past president of pastor's aide.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Henderson.
Survivors include one son, Tommy Ray Henderson of Fordyce; two daughters, Marian Henderson of Racine, Wis., and Charlene Dillahunty of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John AME Church with Hazel Linton officiating. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery at Fordyce by Brown-Williams Funeral Home of Fordyce.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family will be in Fordyce.
