Dorothy Brazil

FORDYCE -- Dorothy Ann Brazil, 57, of Fordyce, died Saturday at Dallas County Hospital at Fordyce.
She was born Aug. 12, 1947, at Fordyce, a daughter of the late James Sledge Sr. and Nettie "Byrd" Sledge.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Walker's Temple Church of God in Christ at Fordyce.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Asa Brazil Sr.
Survivors include five sons, Kelvin B. Brazil of Nashville, Ark., Michael E. Brazil of Germany, Mark A. Brazil of Stephens and Cecil Asa Brazil Jr. and Darrin L. Brazil, both of Fordyce; three daughters, Donna M. Taylor, Rhonda R. Charles and Teresa S. Brazil, all of Fordyce; eight brothers, Butch Thompson of Las Vegas, James Sledge Jr., Richard Sledge, Arthur Sledge, Jerome Sledge, Jeff Sledge and Donald Sledge, all of Fordyce, and Bobby Sledge of Little Rock; two sisters, Katherine Jane Walker of Fordyce and May Frances Williams of Austin, Texas; and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Walker's Temple Church of God in Christ with Ray Sledge officiating. Burial will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery at Fordyce by Brown-Williams Funeral Home at Fordyce.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home, Fordyce.
