Funeral services for Trudie Dread Strickland, age 90, of Malvern, Ark., who died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation in Hot Springs, Ark., will be held Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Brandon’s Mortuary 329 West Third Street Malvern, Ark., with Rev. Roosevelt Fraction officiating. Burial will be in Perla Cemetery with Brandon’s Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Trudie Strickland was born July 20, 1918, in Carthage, Ark., but lived in Flint, Mich., Milwaukee, Wisc., and moved to Malvern, Ark., in 1987 where she joined Greater New Hope Baptist Church. During her working career she was in the Nursing field.
She was predeceased by her father, George Bailey Jimerson; mother, Bettie Miller Jimerson; and husband, Priney Strickland. There are no immediate survivors but her cousin and caregiver, Merle Bass and husband, Cleveland Bass of Malvern, Ark.
