Johnson, Juanita (Black)

Juanita Black Johnson of Sheridan, Arkansas was born December 31, 1915 at Sheridan, the daughter of the late John Mack and Ella Gammel Black. She was a charter member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan where she attended Grace Sunday School Class. She was also a retired Licensed Practical Nurse.

Mrs. Johnson died Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Sheridan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 93. 

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Johnson and step-sons, Bobby and John M. Johnson.

Survivors include her sons, Franklin and wife Phana Johnson and Mack Johnson, of Sheridan; Step-daughter, Frankie Worley of Hardin; 9 Grandchildren, Rick Johnson, Vicki and husband Wade Lunday, Nicki and husband Jeff Lisenbey, Lynley Johnson, Doug and wife Lynn Johnson, Sonya and husband Roger Lee, Connie Johnson, Donna and husband Scott Moore,Lisa and husband Bill Hankins; 7 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, August 16, 2009 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Rev. Tim Montgomery and Rev. Jeff Corrigan officiating. Burial  followed in Lost Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Rick Johnson, Wade Lunday, Jeff Lisenbey, Carroll Corrigan, Doug Johnson and Roger Lee.

Honorary pallbearers: Ladies of Grace Sunday School Class at First Landmark.
