Leard Cemetery is located on the Arkansas/Oklahoma border and has about 70 graves located on the Arkansas side, however the cemetery books are located in Pocola, OK. The original cemetery was in Arkansas and the Leard family are buried on the Arkansas side, which is where the cemetery gets its name. It is located on Texas Road & Rutgers Road. There is a fence on the east side of the cemetery that is the State line. This cemetery has Caucasian, African American &
Indian burials.


(2019 note: This cemetery was also known by some in the early years as Cavanaugh Cemetery....
