McMurtrey Cemetery

Cemetery is on private property. It has been years since it has been cleaned. It has large walnut trees surounded by pastures
and lot of brush. Most of the stones have been overturned. There are over 2 dozen grave sites marked with just plain rocks for
both head and foot stones. I am also sure there are other stones buried. I uncovered 3 that were buried....Richard.

Amanda J. Davs, born in Virginia, lived most of her life in
Clark Co., Ar and married on Apr 25, 1837 to John H. Swink,
in Clark Co., Ar. She had been living for a short time with
her son Leonadas Davis Swink and his family in Cole Twsp,
Sebastian Co., Ar when she died.
She had another son Peter Henry Swink also.) |
