I got it from the LDS center here in Jonesboro but my husband's great-grandfather's name is Noah not Moses. The man at the center said being it is a name from the Bible that it was possible that the census taker put it down wrong. Then I have the 1900 Census in Telico Township , St Francis County, Arkansas. It has Noah and his wife , can't make out her name , and also James , Mary , Fletcher(my husband's grandfather) , and Nancy. I can't seem to find them after this or before this. Thanks for any help you can give me.Sandy in Arkansas James T KELLER / Mary MORRISON 1877 Posted by: Sandy Keller (ID *****6418) Date: October 25, 2003 at 07:36:15 of 32037 I am looking for information aboutJames KELLER Birthdate Dec 1853 Msmarried toMary MORRISON KELLER Birthdate Nov 1835 SCTelico Township , St. Francis County , ArkansasThis would be my husband's ggreat grandfatherThey had one child name Noah Jan 1879 Mississippiwho had 2 childrenFletcher Aug 1897 Nancy May 1900any help on this line of KELLER's would be greatly appreciatedSandy in Arkansas

KNOWLTON (NOLTON) JESSE QUERIE Re: Knowlton's of St Francis Co., AR Posted by: Sheri Burk (ID *****2252) Date: August 24, 2004 at 17:11:09 In Reply to: Re: Knowlton's of St Francis Co., AR by Wiley Knowlton of 32037 Hi Wiley,Thanks for the new update. The spelling of NOLTON did not show up on the soundex card for either 1840 census or the soundex for 1860 under KNOWLTON. But by typing in exact spelling they showed up. So thanks for leading me to these two census for Jesse and William R KNOWLTON.I knew many of my family had moved to California but didn't realize where to start looking for them until you mentioned Ventura. I found even more than you mentioned. William's daughter, Susan J KNOWLTON had married a HAYS and I found their son William F HAYS in the California death record in Ventura. According to the census William R KNOWLTON was in Edwards Co., Texas in 1900, Oxnard, Ventura Co., California in 1910. and then I found many of the children of William in 1920 and 1930. I could not find the death record for William R KNOWLTON.Also I found Grant Allison in Ventura the son of my gggrandmother Faraba Sylvia KNOWLTON a daughter of William R and Jane KNOWLTON. Grant had an orange orchard and made orange juice but I don't know under what trade name. Faraba's grandaughter Sylvia Ann BURK who is still living and 92 gave me a lot of oral history when I was back in the states earlier this year. Sylvia's mother Hettie Jane MALLETT was also the daughter of Faraba S. KNOWLTON and Hettie was my great-grandmother. She lived in California in the Los Angeles County area for many years too.But I have you to thank for putting me on the right trail. By the way I couldn't find any KNOWLTON's listed for Humbolt, California for 1920.Back to Jesse KNOWLTON. Have you looked at the 1820 census for Stephen KNOWLTON in Jennings Co., Indiana and then for Eunice KNOWLTON for the 1830 Census for Jennings Co., Indiana? Jesse's census for 1840 shows a female for the age matching Eunice KNOWLTON. I feel this is a possiblilty for Jesse's parents. Do you have any additional information on Jesse's parents? Thanks to you Wiley I feel I am making some headway with my KNOWLTON family.I would also like more information on your Jesse Joseph KNOWLTON especially in regard to his minstry.Do stay in touch.Sheri Burk Re: Knowlton's of St Francis Co., AR Posted by: Wiley Knowlton (ID *****4484) Date: August 24, 2004 at 09:31:26 In Reply to: Knowlton's of St Francis Co., AR by Sheri Burk of 32037 Hello, SheriI have some information I think you will like. Jesse Knowlton is listed as Jesse S. Nolton on the 1840 census records for Jennings County, IN and also the 1860 census records for St. Francis County, AR. The same people are listed with him as on the 1850 records. Also, in the 1860 St. Francis records, Jesse is listed as head of household. William R. is next, age 30, then there is a Jane, age 28, John, age 7. I believe Jane is the first wife of William. John is their son.Jesse's wife, Hettie, is not listed. She may have died during the 1850s.William R. died in California Jan. 10, 1915, according to California death records. He was in Ventura in 1900 and the family (less William) were in Humboldt County, CA in 1920.Jesse Joseph was my Great-grandfather. He also was a Methodist Episcopal Minister. I have his License. He died in 1887 and is buried in Happybend Cemetery, Pope Co. AR.I have several other items I will send you later.Have fun looking and keep in touch.Wiley Knowlton's of St Francis Co., AR Posted by: Sheri Burk (ID *****2252) Date: July 28, 2004 at 12:27:59 of 32037 I am looking for info on:Jesse Knowlton b. abt 1800 NY moved first to Indiana, then Arkansas by 1850.Two of his sons were preachers in Arkansas.Joshua S Knowlton b. in Indiana about 1825William R Knowlton b. in Indiana about 1830William my gggrandfather moved to Texas after 1870.Any information on this family is appreciated.Sheri Burk
