HOUSE, MAYFIELD posted by Bill House on Sunday, September 27, 1998

I've just traced my ggrandfather to Calhoun Co through land records. In the 1870 census he and his family lived in Saline but they must have moved to Calhoun shortly thereafter. He was James Micaiah HOUSE and his wife was Emily MAYFIELD HOUSE. They had William, Walter (who also had land in Calhoun in 1906), Joseph Milton, Emma, and Dempsey. James was a Methodist Minister and farmer. Any info that you could supply would be most appreciated. Bill House

JOHNSON, STOVER posted by Earline Long-Zlotkowski on Thursday, November 5, 1998

STOVER, Joseph (born c. 1826) married JOHNSON, Elethea "Leetha" Jane (born c. 1821), in Calhoun, Arkansas on 17 Nov 1853. They are my great-great-grandparents. Their son, John N. STOVER (my great- grandfather) was born in Denton County, TX on 18 Feb 1861, so Joseph and Elethea apparently moved to Texas prior to that time. This is all we know about Joseph and Elethea. Seeking any information at all about them and/or their other children, their own siblings and parents. Very much appreciated.
