OROVILLE, CALIF.—Lorie Smith Tobias, age 76, of Oroville, Calif., formally of Tulip, Ark., went on to be with the Lord on the morning of July 3, 2007, at the Oroville Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 13, 1930, the daughter of the late Ed and Hazel Smith. She was a member of the Wynn Memorial COGIC. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elbert Tobias; four brothers; and one son. She is survived by seven children; two sisters, Emergene Watkins of Malvern, Ark., and Dorothy (Harvey) Morris of Carthage, Ark.; five brothers, Edward Smith of Fordyce, Ark., Charlie (Katie) Smith of Carthage, Ark., Walter Smith and Clyde Smith, both of Malvern, Ark., and John (Betty) Smith of Oakland, Calif.
