BORDLEY, HOLCOMB, JENKINS posted by Margaret Holden Hummer on Tuesday, August 8, 2000: I am looking for information about Sarah Jane JENKINS, she married Alonzo BORDLEY, possibly in Helena. He was a Sgt. in the 2nd AR Union Calvary and was killed in June 1863. They had a daughter, Mary, who died in infancy. After he was killed, Sarah Jane married William D. HOLCOMB. They lived in Panola Co., MS. Did Sarah Jane's parents live in Lee Co., who were they, and when & why did she go to MS? Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!! Margaret

From the "Hatch, Match and Dispatch" Births, Marriages, Deaths, Etc. from the Baxter Bulletin, Mountain Home, AR, Book #8, 1944 Thru 1946. January 7, 1944 Issue I quote: "Four of Oldest Citizens Celebrate Birthday: 1st - George HIGGINBOTHAM will be 89 on January 11. He came to Mountain Home from Lee County many years ago." A very likely place to look first would be Lee County, AR. He came to Mountain Home in 1896 at the age of 42. There he married my grandmother, Nancy Elizabeth FANNING in 1898 and divorced her in 1901. He married Lucy LEWIS in 1904. I would like to find out about my great grandparents. Help!

MCKINNEY, WOOD posted by Rick Wood on Saturday, August 12, 2000: I'm looking for information about my great-grandparents, J. H. (John) and Jennie WOOD. J. H. married Jennie MCKINNEY on Dec. 25, 1901, when, according to their marriage license, he was 24 and she was 18. J. H. would have been born in about 1877 and Jennie in about 1883. Also according to the license, they were from Vineyard (?) and were married in Lee County, AR. They had three children, Ernest, Nellie and George. George was the youngest and was my grandfather, born Dec. 6, 1906. Family stories say that Jennie died at a young age, but I do not know exactly when or why. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

My Grandfather (John Thomas McElduff) was born in ?? and died on August 8, 1931 in Lee County, Arkansas. I can not find a lot of information about his ancestors. Thank you for any information. Lynn

PARTIN, Marshal Wright PARTIN which is the son of Alford and Walter Woodruff PARTIN which is the son of Marshal. I need to know the wife of Marshall Wright PARTIN when she was born and where, when she died and where. I know Alford was in the Civil War but I do not know from which state. Any information about these three would be helpful.

By the 1910 census, Alexander Holmes RAMAGE is no longer listed in a census and Lula Sutton RAMAGE was listed in the household of Ada SUTTON.
