Moccasin Cemetery
Marion Co AR

From Elda Power's column in the
Mt. Echo Newspaper, issue: Jun 12, 2000

Flowers Dividing Line

Nothing like a ride in the country. On a recent day out we drove out to CC Road and though the country. On the road we passed a sign, "Moccasin Creek Cemetery." I asked Penny to stop. That we did. Most of the grave dates were in the 1900s. It is an old cemetery, but some one had cut some weeds and there were several new headstones. I looked up Moccasin Cemetery in Marian Burnes, "Cemeteries of Marion County". The heading read "This is an abandoned Cemetery on Moccasin Creek, just above Old Kingdom Spring, near the artesian spring or well there. There is very poor access to the cemetery now and it is hard to find. The cemetery had a beautiful setting, old yes, but peaceful."

Darl Thease 7-20-1906 died. 7-29-1908.
H.E. Robinson Nov. 11, 1882- March 11, 1908.
Nannie Linton, Oct. 27, 1850-Jan. 25, 1918.
Doll Clark, April 4-6-1917 died 1-10-1919.
