COURTHOUSE

The Marion County courthouse burned in 1887 and there are no existing records prior to that time. In many instances we hear about a courthouse being burned and we find that many of the records actually survived. This is not the case of Marion Co's courthouse. It truly burned to the ground.

The courthouse is located in Yellville, AR, address mail to: Marion County Courthouse, Courthouse Square, Yellville, AR 72687. Phone: 870-449-6231. Hours are from 8:00-4:30 pm. All vital records are found at Little Rock ( Arkansas Vital Records)

County Clerk has marriage, divorce, probate, civil court and land records from 1888 to present.
