Gilbert & Lousia Derryberry

And Family

This is a picture of Doctor Gilbert Henderson Derryberry. He was a doctor who practice medicine in and around Marion and Boone Co in the late 1800's. He lived in Lead Hill Marion Co AR. His wife name was Lousia and she is buried in the Derryberry Cemetery in Marion Co. I'm not sure if DR Derryberry is buried there or not. He also owned a lot of land in Marion Co and owned shares in some of the mines in that area. In the picture is his wife and children. I''m not sure who each of the kids are in this photo. In my research I only found him listed with two children - one is Elizabeth Derryberry who married Grandville Sullivan and the other is a son name Newton Derryberry. The picture was taken in Trenton MO. I'm not sure of the date of the picture but would place it somewhere before 1840? The picture was given to me by a cousin was told that it was handed down from our uncle William Sullivan, who got it from his dad Newton Sullivan, who got it from his mother Elizabeth Derryberry Sullivan.
