Meet

This is a picture of my maternal grandmother, Martha Elizabeth (Williams) Hampton. She was born October 30, 1880 and died December 7, 1985. The picture was taken on her 100th birthday. She was married to Joseph Henry Hampton in 1906. Joseph was the son of Samuel Pate Hampton. Her father was James Williams. Her mother was Mariah(?) Huett(?). Not sure of the spelling of her mother's name. I'm not sure she ever resided in Marion County. The only place my mother remembers when she was small is Snowball, which I believe is in Searcy County. However, I have noted the presence of numerous Williams in Marion County prior to and after my grandmother's birth, and I'm sure they're probably related somehow or other. Use the picture or not, as you wish. I thought perhaps if people saw it, someone might remember some information on the Williams. Sorry to carry on so long, but I thought I'd be thorough.
