Obituary: From the Northwest Arkansas Times, Fayetteville, AR. Friday December 30, 1966. Charles F. KELLEY, 79, of Lowell, died Friday in the Rogers hospital. He was born September 18, 1887 at Pyeatt, Arkansas. He was a retired farmer. Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Anna HAND KELLEY of the home; one son, Charles F jr. Of Anaheim, Calif.; Two daughters, Mrs. Avo NEIL and Mrs. Wanda BARKER both of Lowell. Three brothers, Roy and Elmer both of Harrison, and Frank of Cowiche, Washington. Three sisters, Mrs. Haskell SLAGLEY, Mrs. Mae SLAGLEY, and Mrs. Pearl LEWIS all of Harrison. Seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2pm Tuesday at Sisco funeral chapel with burial in Goad Springs cemetery.

Mountain Echo, Yellville, AR Thursday, 5 Jan 1967, pg 1 Services Held For John AVEY John Allen AVEY, 91, died Dec. 31, in the Baxter General Hospital. Mr. AVEY, a retired farmer had lived in the Flippin and Yellville areas apporximately 30 years and at the time of his death was living at Rest Haven in Mountain Home. Mr. AVEY was born at Big Flat August 13, 1875, the son of John and Martha Jane (MORRIS) AVEY. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors are his wife, Lydia BOGLE AVEY, Rest Haven; and a sister, Mary WILBUR of Norfork. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Yellville Main Street Church of Christ with John R. LYON officiating. Pallbearers were Leo AVEY, Lloyd MOREAU, Claude GILLEY, E. J. BOGLE, Howard MILLIGAN and Jimmy BOGLE. Burial was in the Yellville Cemetery.

Mountain Echo, Yellville, AR Thursday, 9 Mar 1967 Earl MARCHANT Of Flippin Dies Earl MARCHANT, 59, a farmer of the Flippin community, died March 4. He was born Aug 21, 1907 at Calico Rock to Rufus and Mollie ARNOLD MARCHANT. He had lived in Marion county 50 years. He was married to the former Opal OTT in 1929. She survives. Other survivors are one daughter, Mrs Earline TREAT of Flippin; a brother, Jack MARCHANT of Sunnyside, Wash.; one sister, Mrs Edith FLETCHER, Archie, MO, and one grandchild. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Christian church in Flippin with Rev F Eldon KING officiating. Burial was in the Ott cemetery. Pallbearers were Bill LINCK, Guy McCRACKEN, Howard REA, Jewell TILLEY, Fred BEARDEN and Hardy HUDDLESTON.

Mountain Echo, Yellville, AR 31 Aug 1967 Rites Held For R E HUDDLESTON Ralph E HUDDLESTON, 76, died at the Springdale Hospital August 24. He had lived at Springdale about one year. He was born at Valley Springs to Abraham and Dora (MORSE) HUDDLESTON, but had lived in Marion County most of his life. He was a retired Arkansas State Highway engineer. Previous to that he was engaged as a mining engineer in Marion County. Survivors are four sons, Layne, Springdale, Jimmy and Buddy, Wichita, Kans. and Glendon, West Fork; three daughters, Mrs Shirley SHEA, Springdale, Mrs Mabel WORLIEN and Mrs Sarah KIRKLAND, both of Wichita, Kans.; three sisters, Mrs Gertrude MYLES, Tulsa, Okla., Mrs Emma PAYNE, San Jose, Calif., and Mrs Ida LANKFORD, Laramie, Wyo.; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His wife, Eva (HALL) HUDDLESTON, preceded him in death, as did two children. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Yellville Methodist Church with the pastor, Rev Aubra HAYS, officiating. A quartet composed of Mr Betty DUREN, Wm E BROWNING and Mr and Mrs Walter BRIDGES sang "What A Friend" and "Near the Heart of God." They were accompanied at the organ by Mrs Opal LAYTON Burial was in the Yellville Cemetery.

From an unidentified California newspaper Date of death 3 Jun 1968 in Sacramento County, CA Zada SUBLETT, 83, of 724 N School St died Monday in a Galt rest home following an extended illness. A native of Arkansas, she had lived in Lodi since 1950. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs Mary MORRIS of Lodi, Mrs Nora WAKEMAN of Los Angeles and Mrs Ray CRAWFORD of Gassville, Ark.; one son, Wheeler SUBLETT of Fort Myers, Fla.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs Edgar FLETCHER of Mountain Home, Ark. and Mrs Lema BEAVERS of Buffalo, Ark.; and one brother, George JONES, also of Arkansas. Mrs SUBLETT was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Lodi. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 7 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of the Gierhart & Wells Funeral Home with Rev Gene FORREST of the First Assembly of God Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Lodi Memorial Cemetery.

Mountain Echo 1968 Riley BAKER'S Service at Caney William Riley BAKER, 83, a retired farmer, died June 22 at Marion County Hospital where he had been a patient since January. He was born March 4, 1885 in the Tomahawk community in Searcy County to John and Mary Jane (ADAMS) BAKER. He had lived in Marion County 55 years. His wife, the former Gena DAVENPORT, preceded him in death. Four children were born to this union, two sons, Burley BAKER, rural Yellville, and Ancil BAKER, Yakima, Wash., and two daughters, Mrs. Glenna WILLIAMS, Harrison, and Mrs. Pauline SWAYNE, Tulsa, Okla. Other suvivors are one sister, Mrs. Anna RAINES, Harrison; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral service were held June 24 at 2 pm in the Caney church with Doyle Davenport officiating. Burial was in the Caney cemetery. Pallbearers were Billy Charles BAKER, Bobby Joe BAKER, Bobby Joe OTT, Kenneth RAINES, Andy SWAYNE and Ward DAVENPORT.
