The Van Buren County site is great. I am researching the following: MILLSAP, HENLEY, BURK, MANNING, PAYNE and BAILEY lines from Van Buren County. My grandparentswere Orville and Minnie HENLEY MILLSAP. We have taken on the task of caring for the old Burk-Chastain (or dog walk) cemetery. We havefenced it and cleaned it up. If you have any information of a George Washington BATTLES born about 1815 in Tennessee and died in 1903 in Arkansas. and a Mary Missouria McGEEHEE BATTLES who was married to George before he died in 1903. Then she married a Ben HARMON. George moved to Arkansas from Georgia after the Civil War and first lived in Sebastian Co. and then VanBuren County, Arkansas.

I'm looking for information on William H. BLEVINS, his wife, Mary Boone GRISHAM BLEVINS and their son, William E. (Edgar)BLEVINS. Mary is supposed to be buried in Van Buren County. William H.and Mary were born in TN and they had a large cattle ranch in AR, mostly in White County. William E. was in and out of AR and spent his last years in OK. He was married several times, but we're not sure how many. Our relation is to his last wife, Myrtle POLLARD.

Great site. Doing genealogy research on John and Nancy McCoy of Scotland, Arkansas. Two of their children stayed in the area: Parmey McCoy and Mary McCoy Biggs. Any info on this family will be greatly appreciated. John and Nancy are buried in Foster Cemetery as well as Parmey.

I've been looking for a GGGrandpa, George Wiley Wright, he had land at Van Buren, Co. We don't know that much about him. He was born in England about 1830, London, and Died in 1915. He was 96 years old, so the family tell's me. He was buried at Union Hill Cemetery, (Formosa). I would love to know more about him. If anyone can look up some things for me, I would pay for any help and postage, if anyone could find something on him. If there was a Obit. Land record. He left my GGGrandmother for 20 years and when she died in Okl. he showed up. Her name was Nancy Jane Barber, Wright. Storey had it that he either had another wife or was living with another women. His daughter was Julia Ann Wright, White and another daughter was Annie. Also storey was told that he was in the Civil War, but no record's have been found. Any Info E-Mail Rosieth@aol.com
