Additional Information: Hello everyone. I am hoping someone out there can help me. My grandparents, Charles Rice and Nova Katherine (Thomas) Rice had land up in Dennard, Van Buren County, Arkansas. I believe it was on old county road 88. I know they were there sometime after 1940. I cannot find any 'proof' that they lived on that land. I have no idea where to begin to look. I have visited there years ago when my mother passed in 1996. I've been cut off from my family there. Could someone point me in the right direction? Many thanks in advance! Kathleen Raymond

Additional Information: Sylviann Risener (d/o Thomas Risener & Charlotte Young) married William Jasper Treadway in 1868 in Van Buren County. Their son, Thomas Henry, was born in 1869. William Treadway died in 1871. In September 1873 Sylviann had a son named James Jackson Newman in Van Buren County. In 1880 she was married to Dickson Dudley Spears and living in Newton County. Does anyone know who James Newman's father was, or have a marriage record for Sylviann and a Newman? Also, does anyone know if James was her only Newman child, or were there two more? Thanks!
