Additional Information: I am editing a memoir written by John James in the 1930s. John married Rebecca Sharp, daughter of Archibald Sharp, in 1890 after working as cowboy in northern TX from about 1870-1882. John's memoir is quite extensive and describes the meeting, courting, and marriage to Rebecca. John was a blacksmith in/near Clinton c 1889-1892 and even empoyed 2 of Rebecca's brothers, he said. My friend, Larry James, grandson of John and Rebecca, is in the process of publishing the memoir into a book. Dennis Earle has helped us understand the geography of Clinton, streams and rivers, and the location of the Sharp land. he has been extremely helpful. Richard Crowe

They are listed in the 1880 census in Van Buren, California township Arkansas. She was a widow also by 1880. Additional Information: My grandfather was James Allen COLLINS, son of Jesse Bryan COLLINS and Ethel WILLIAMS. My greatgrandparents, Jesse and Ethel were married in Van Buren County on Sept. 6, 1919. James was born in Clinton, Van Buren County, Arkansas on February 28, 1935. I haven't been able to find any information on either family. Any info would be greatly appreciated, even if it is just a shove in the right direction! I know Jesse was enlisted in WWII. and that they ended up in Missouri! Thanks!

Additional Information: I am searching for any information on the location of my great-grandfather's grave. His name was ROBERT COOKE and we was born December 1879 in Wigan, Lancashire, England, and died in Bee Branch sometime in June 1965. My mother recalls seeing a letter from Robert Cooke's landlady in Bee Branch when he passed away, and the letter included a photograph of him wearing a suit in his coffin. Robert Cooke was a member of the Winnipeg Grendadiers and was a veteran of WWI where he was injured in combat in 1917 or 1918. He worked in foundries and listed his occupation as

Duncan, Nancy who married George W. Stephens, Francis who married Lewis Lafayette Carter and Stacy who married John Thomas Ragsdale.
