KELLY or KELLEY, who was born 3 Mar 1819 in Virginia; m. 20 Dec 1838 in Fayette Co. West Virginia to Floyd KELLY; moved to Independence Co. AR abt 1850; widowed in 1888 and moved to Perryville, AR to live with daughter, Louisa KELLY FREEMAN, wife of James FREEMAN; family states Martha d. about 1900 in Perry County, Arkansas. Martha was the daughter of Joshua BRADLEY and Harriett VEALEY.

Her parents have been reported to be Alva BERRY and Sintha or Cynthis Jane WELCH but I have no proof whatsoever of that. She married Alford M. STRICKLAND in Caldwell County, TX. in 1880 and they had 6 children. I am also researching William Walter PRICE and his wife Marena WILLIAMSON who are also from ARK. Their son was my grandfather. Also looking for information of James or John Moss b.1869 in MS but lived in ARK

I am also looking for information on John Silas PARTON. He also died in Casa, Perry County. The best I can tell is that he also died in 1909. After grandpa John Silas died, my grandma married Peter Joseph MEYERS. Any help would be appreciated.

MARTIN, POPE, SHARP posted by Alice Albright on Monday, April 26, 1999: My maternal great grandmother, Eliza Melvina SHARP POPE, (d. 1941) is buried at Ada Valley Cemetery. Her husband was Benjamin Franklin POPE. Their daughter, Rebecca Jane was my grandmother. She married Tom MARTIN at Lollie in 1910. His parents were George and Rachel MARTIN. I believed they also lived in this area around the 1910s to 1920s. If you know of anything about these people, please let me know.

He moved to Arkansas from Alabama, and I believe he and his children lived in Perry County for a few years. Any help will be appreciated.

CHILDS, CRAGAR, EMERSON, HERNDON posted by Waldo Cragar on Thursday, April 29, 1999: I was born in Perry, AR. in 1938 - I am looking for information about my grandparent's parents. My grandparents were Brian Edward CRAGAR & Maude Elizabeth EMERSON on my Dad's side and Dewitt Huston HERNDON & Cordelia Izzie CHILDS on my mother's side. All I know is that Dewitt and Cordelia were married in Houston, AR. Would love to hear any information from anyone who has any.
