Yakima, Washington newspaper June 1994 Doris Gentry Doris GENTRY, 94, of Moxee, a former resident of Napa, California, died Monday, June 13, 1994 at home. She was born March 5, 1900, the daughter of Calvin and Minnie (COCHRAN) WILLIAMS in Rush, Arkansas. She was raised and educated in Arkansas and in 1920 was married to Charles H. GENTRY in Yellville, Arkansas. Together in 1945 they moved to Napa, California and following her husband's death in 1955 she moved to Yakima to be near family. Her memberships include the East Valley Reformed Church and she was an avid seamstress. Her surviving family includes two sons, Joe GENTRY of Yakima and Glen GENTRY of Napa, California; two daughters, Minnie Lee BRADY of Moxee, and Peggy MILLER of Perkinston, Mississippi; a sister, Mary HATFIELD of Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and four nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister. Graveside services will be in Napa, California.

Shawnee News-Star Today's Obituaries July 15, 1995 Clyde E. PARKER of Prague died Sunday at the age of 93. He was born Sept. 16, 1903, in Flippin, Ark., to Joe W. and Eliza (SANDERS) PARKER. He was a retired pumper for Davidor and Davidor and a member of Prague First Baptist Church. He married Laura RAY and she preceded him in death in 1937. He married Cleo EAKINS in January 1940. Surviving are his wife, Cleo PARKER, Prague; sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne M. and Dorothy PARKER, Norman; Phillip D. and Lydia PARKER, Camarillo, Calif.; James Rex and Beverley PARKER, Wichita Falls, Texas; daughter, Loneta P. TURNER, Dumas, Texas; stepson and daughter-in-law, Donald and Bonnetta FRYE, Tulsa; brother, Rude H. PARKER, Coachella, Calif.; sisters, Eula GLENN, Ojai, Calif.; Pauline CUNNINGHAM, Wichita, Kan.; Frankie Jean RITTER, Leonard; 15 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Also preceding him in death were his parents and one stepdaughter, Geneva MARTIN. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with the Rev. Roy Brown and the Rev. Tim Emmons officiating. Burial will be in Wetumka Cemetery.

Burley BAKER, 89, Yellville Burley BAKER, age 89, of Yellville, died Oct 11, 1995 at the Marion County Nursing Home. Mr. BAKER was born July 10, 1906 in Tomahawk, Ark to Riley and Gena (DAVENPORT) BAKER. he was a store owner, a member of the Caney Church of Christ and life long resident of Marion County. Survivors include his wife, Nellie (MORROW) of Yellville; his daughter, Mrs. Sue OTT, of Yellville, his son, Bobby Joe BAKER of Yellville, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mr. BAKER was preceded in death by his parents. Services were held at the Caney Church of Christ with Ivy Davenport and Kenneth Raines officiating. Burial was at the Caney Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lynn BAKER, Tad OTT, Ty OTT, Tray OTT, Dwain HUDSON and Monty DAVENPORT. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Caney Cemetery Association. Obituary contributed by Don E. Young: Hazel Clemintine AUSTIN YOUNG was born January 9, 1911 at Lead Hill, Arkansas. She was the second daughter of John Wesley and Lular Belle GAINES AUSTIN, a faithful servant of God, a minister's wife and a mother. She fell peacefully asleep in the arms of her Lord and Savior, December 3, 1995 at North Arkansas Medical Center, Harrison, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Eslie SOMMERS and a son James Howell YOUNG. She is survived by her husband of 61 years Reverend Luster James YOUNG of the home, a son Don E. YOUNG and daughter in law Kathy, of Dallas Texas, two sisters, Cora Avo CHAPPELLE, of Richland, Washington; Dorothy Fern WADE, Yelleville, Arkansas; Three brothers, Lester AUSTIN of Sweet Home, Oregon; Willian Avery AUSTIN of Trout Lake, Washington, and Leonard AUSTIN of Bentonville, Arkansas, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces and friends who will mourn her passing. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God Church, Harrison, Arkansas, Hazel Young fund.

Eddie Malphrus officiating. Burial follows at Oaklawn Cemetery, Sulphur. Mrs. BURK died April 3, 1998, at Sulphur. She was born Jan. 9, 1919, in Marion County, Ark., to Thomas Richard VICKREY and Mintie Evelyn (BREWER) VICKREY. She moved to Mill Creek and then to Sulphur in 1939. She was a house parent at Oklahoma School for the Deaf and a member of the First Baptist Church of Sulphur and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Women's Auxiliary. She and Marvin BURK were married Oct. 21, 1939, at Sulphur. He died Mar. 14, 1966. Survivors include a son, Jim BURK, Sulphur; 18 brothers and sisters including Juanita THOMPSON, Sulphur; and two grandchildren. Bearers are Tim COLBERT, Scott COLBERT, Paul Aaron, Mickey WARREN, Sam Jewell, and Larry ROSS. Visitation is 1-6 p.m. today at Cowley-Krien Funeral Home in Sulphur. Dewey Denver MOORE, 94, Pyatt (Mt. Echo Newspaper, Yellville, AR, May 21, 1998) Dewey Denver MOORE, age 94, of Pyatt, died May 14, 1998 at the Marion County Nursing Home. Mr. Moore was born November 20, 1904 in Eros to J. Willie and Viola (LANCASTER) MOORE. He was a postmaster at Zinc, ran a general store, and was a cattle farmer. He was also a member of the Assembly of God Church. he was a life-long resident of Marion and Boone counties. Survivors include his wife, Millie of Pyatt; his daughter, Ann GREGORY of Columbus, MO; his sisters, Maud MANLEY of Odessa, Tex, and Mae Etta ROBERTS of Little Rock; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Lucille DONALDSON; his brothers, Earnest and J.W. MOORE; and his sisters, Verda Lee WILSON, Virgie MOORE and Lola Pearl STRATTON. Services were held at the Coffman chapel in Harrison with Rev Frank WHITESIDE officiating. Burial was at the Stanley Cemetery with Kenneth PETTIT, James PATTON, James WHITLOCK, Gary RICHARDSON and Bruce CAMPBELL serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were nephews, friends, and neighbors. Arrangements were by the Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison.

She was a homemaker, a life long resident of Marion County, and a member of the Fairview Church of Christ. Survivors include her sisters, Daphna GREEN of Dewey, AZ and Bonnie GREEN of Stigler, OK; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at the Burns Funeral Home Chapel with Petter BANNING officiating. Burial was at the Fairview Cemetery with Gary JAMES, Andy JAMES, Leon WAGONER and John SHIRLEY serving as pallbearers. Memorials may be directed to your favorite charity. Born May 31, 1907, at Bruno she was the daughter of John S. and Julian Ann (ANGEL) PYLE. She married Karl KING on January 10, 1945. He preceded her in death. Mrs. KING was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ in Yellville and the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion. Survivors include two daughters, Nancy LAINERE of Lafayette, LA and Gail KING of Harrison; five nieces, Helen MCMINDES and Eloise WILLIAMS of Harrison, Ann Marie DOSHIER of Yellville, Eula HUSKEY of Mountain Grove, MO and Betty LIFFITION of Phoenix, AZ; two nephews, EJ PYLE of Charlotte, NC and George Chester CAVINESS of Batesville; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Services were held July 6 at Main Street Church of Christ, with John DOLLIN and Earl COOK officiating. Burial was in Layton Cemetery.

Mr. PYLE was born October 18, 1937 in Yellville, the son of George and Ruby (DILLARD) PYLE. He was a veteran and of the Church of Christ faith. Survivors include his mother, Ruby PYLE of Morrilton; his daughters, Debbie IBANEZ of Miami, FL and Jerye Marie PYLE of Harman, AR; his son, Matthew PYLE of Hartman; his sister Pay MCVEY of Morrilton; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise PACHL. Graveside services were held at the DeSoto Cemetery in Yellville. Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton was in charge of the arrangements.
